About CueCard
I just wanted to record a video without memorizing a script. That's it. That was the whole plan.
But every teleprompter I found was like:
- "Start your free trial!" — cool, what happens after 7 days?
- "Create your account!" — I just want to read text off a screen, not join a cult
- "Download our desktop app!" — it's 300MB and wants microphone access
So I did what any reasonable person would do: spent way more time building one from scratch instead of just paying $9.99 a month.
CueCard is dead simple: paste your script, pick a speed, hit start. No sign-up. No download. No tracking. Your text lives in your browser — I literally cannot see it. (Which is honestly a relief. Some of y'all's scripts are probably unhinged.)
It handles 15 languages with auto-calibrated speed, works fullscreen, has mirror mode for teleprompter rigs, and won't bother you with newsletters you never signed up for.
I built this for myself. But if you make videos, give talks, teach classes, or just don't feel like memorizing things — maybe it'll work for you too.
